Marbella
Marbella old town is a wonderful maze of cobbled streets and alleyways filled with beautifully kept historical houses. Some of the best shops, and bars can be found in the backstreets of this delightful town, spend the day enjoying a long lunches like the Spanish do. Fortunately, to relax is to be Spanish. People sleep late. Shops seem to open and close of their own accord. Hundreds of restaurants, cafes and bars line the streets, not for the purpose of continuous eating and drinking, but because sociability and enjoyment of life as a community are cultural necessities. Lunch is more than a meal; in the right company, it can become an all-day activity! Build up you apetite again with a long walk along the Paseo (Marbellas beachfront walkway) and then you can enjoy a meal at one of the fabulous fish restaurants right on the beach.
Puerto Banus famous for its glamourous marina with row upon row of elegant white yachts and where you can rub shoulders with the rich and famous. Here you will be spoilt with a collection of the finest restaurants, and boutique shops. This is the place to be seen, or to simply sit and watch the world go by.. and of course the sports cars! The fun doesn't end with the sunset., it is nearly impossible to describe unending list of evening activities. Nightspots generally stay open until 4AM, giving plenty of time to explore the excellent restaurants, tapas bars, open-air cafes, jazz and night clubs. Malaga is one of the eight regional Capitals of Andalucia and the biggest coastal city in the South of Spain. This fascinating town is rich and unique in history, providing the visitor with a great variety of things to see. Malaguenons (people in Malaga) are known for enjoying the relaxed way of life drinking and chatting at the many bodega bars throughout the town. Dont miss the museum of Pablo Picasso.
Take a trip to one of the whitewashed villages a short drive inland such as Mijas and Benahavis where you will see the typical spanish way of life. These pretty villages are are cluttered with whitewashed houses percariously balanced on the steepest of slopes!
Gibraltar offers tax free shopping, but not only this, Gibraltar is actually a fascinating place which is full of history and culture. There are many events year round besides the monkeys from the botanical gardens to concerts in caves.
